Char Media started because moto and outdoor brands kept making two kinds of content: a polished spot nobody watched, or a phone clip that made the product look cheap. Nothing in between — and the in-between is where the product actually sells.
I'm Cam Harwood. I shoot solo by design. Five people on a hillside gets you a bigger invoice and worse footage; one person who knows the sport gets the shot. I've spent multi-week stretches on a single production working alone, run a full-time studio operation, and graded long-form work for other people's films. The through-line is that I do the work — not that I manage someone who does.
The name is deliberate. Charred wood is harder than what it started as: refined under pressure, stripped of everything that wasn't load-bearing. That's the standard applied to content.
Nobody on your project is a junior learning on your budget.
Strategy, production, and the person on-site. If you hire Char Media, I'm the one who shows up and the one who makes the call when the weather turns.
Char Media took its first brand work in 2025. The client list is short, and I'm not going to fill this space with logos from projects I didn't lead, or testimonials I wrote myself. Plenty of people do. You can usually tell.
Here's what you can judge instead:
Logos go here as engagements finish. Being early is the only reason you're getting a founder on-site at this rate.
Founder on-site, direct line, no account manager. That's the trade for being early, and it doesn't survive a full calendar.
